Sourced from Mendoza’s high altitude Uco Valley, this blend is meant to showcase the cool climate style of Malbec. Intense floral aromatics, dark fruit flavors, rich texture and a bright, fresh finish – cool climate Malbec. The wine is aged for six months in used French oak.

Finca La Escuela is in Altamira, the premiere region for Malbec. It is named for the rural school (Escuela) located on the property. Always more complete and nuanced than the Malbecs from the individual soils, it has the floral varietal character and the chalkiness of the Paraje Altamira limestone soils. It has very good freshness and very fine tannins, in a rare combination of power and elegance.

The  'Tinto Negro Vineyard 1955' is a pure Malbec produced from a vineyard planted in 1955 in La Consulta. Yields are low, so they need the grapes from two vines to produce a bottle of wine. It has good complexity, moderate ripeness and good freshness and nuance. It’s powerful and elegant.
