Food Pairing: Nothing shouts ‘Bring me shiraz’ like a 28 day dry-aged rump steak, cooked to perfection on the barbeque and served with a green pepper sauce or try pulled pork Mexican Tortillas. A surprisingly good match is also Peking duck.

Food Pairing: Pinotage goes surprisingly well with sushi. Try it. Thai food is a natural partner as is barbequed meats, particularly game.

The Flying Solo range flies in the face of convention, shunning international varieties in favour of the typical Mediterranean Grenache grape

Syrah vines are harvested at full maturity and are blended with Cinsault. Syrah to express its richness and  Cinsault for its bright and lifted fruit.

The colour is a deep crimson. The first nose immediately reveals the wine’s complexity. The aromatic expression combines hints of violet and peony which develop towards notes of summer fruit, raspberry and black cherry. This stylish vintage boasts aromatic freshness, precision and clarity. On the palate the attack is rounded and ample. The middle palate is full and fleshy. The tannins are elegant and silky, creating perfect balance on the palate. This wine leaves a highly aromatic impres-sion of fruit and freshness.

Obtained from hand-picked Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. This wine, aged for 12 months in barriques, has a full ruby red colour with violet hues and good consistency. The nose is clear and intense with fruity and spicy notes, ranging from wild cherries, through liquorice to pepper. Envelopping to the palette, rich, with soft tannin, with a long and fruityfinish.

Clearly ruby color with bright hues. Delicate hints of toasted wood, fruit, spices and undergrowth.A well-structured wine, with ripe fruit that is balanced with the soft wood and is long in the aftertaste. 

Pair with dishes of pasta and rice, grilled and braised meats, beef, pork and lamb roast, medium ripe yellow cheese.

The color of Château Mercier is concentrated, with a dark heart. Intense, the first nose exudes aromas of blackcurrant and violet that let a powdery floral of almond hinting at lilac blossom. The whole leaves an impression of delicacy and softness. The attack on the palate is round and concentrated, but gives way to a lovely fruity freshness. The mid-palate is velvety and delicate. The finish, elongated, is airy and elegant.

Dashwood Pinot Noir displays a dark ruby red colour with inviting aromas of cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry. Red fruits carry to the generous and juicy palate with hints of spice and smooth elegant tannins giving the wine length and poise. Paired perfectly with fresh pasta or smokey BBQ dishes.

A deep cherry colour hue. Very expressive and complex nose of red fruits (blackcurrant) and spices with a hint of mint and vanilla. The wine is powerful. Ne-ertheless, the tannins are round and smooth. The palate is well balanced between fruit and oak aromas. Perfect with red meat, stew, game casserole and cheese. 

Grape Varietal: 45% Tannat, 25% Cabernet Franc, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec

Ruby red colour with garnet hues. Generous spicy nose balanced with aromas of red fruits. Ample and silky mouth feel, with pleasant melted tannins.

Its dress shines with a deep garnet. The nose of currants and ripe blueberries is already expressive. On the palate, it is a very nice balance between energetic and lively fruits and pleasant and round tannins.

A wine that is still a little discreet on the nose, but once aerated, delivers aromas of ripe red fruits on a background of charred wood. The mouth reveals itself to be ample, rich and concentrated, and upheld by silky tannins. Best enjoyed after a few years of ageing in cellar.

Deep dark color hue. Very complex nose of black fruit (redcurrant, blueberry) and spice aromas with a hint of menthol. The palate is rich and well-structured with a nice freshness.

Appassimento LuLi is a full-bodied wine. Intense deep ruby red. Wild berries on the nose, red flower, aromatic herbs, humus and eucalyptus. Very fruity in the mouth, well-balanced, mouth-filling with a great persistence. 

Great with First courses with meat sauce, polenta, grilled meat, buffalo stews, medium and aged cheeses.

GRAPE VARIETY Negroamaro, Syrah and Cabernet

Intense, bright and deep ruby red. Complex nose on sensations of black and red forest fruits, red flowers, humus, framed by spicy and mineral notes. Elegant in the mouth, with ripe tannins, fresh acidity, and a very long balsamic and fruity persistence.

This wine is best appreciated young to enjoy its stunning fruit. In the glass the wine is deep purple with a blue rim. On the nose, the wine is bold with a seductive perfume of violets and black berries. On the palate, the intense black fruit is balanced by a vibrant acidity and powder-fine tannins. The finish is long with rich blackcurrants.

Vina Alarde Gran Rioja Reserva displays a deep ruby red, and offers aromas and flavors of red fruit, tobacco and toast, derived from its oak and bottle ageing. Harmonious and smooth, but also full and meaty, it presents a full range of pleasant sensations in both the nose and mouth.

It has an intense red color. It is complex, rich and elegant to the nose, with intense aromas. It shows good ageing with the tannins of a big wine and brings to mind ripe fruit.

On the nose, this wine is magnificently fruity and precise. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, small blue fruits and berries, combined with very fine touches of sweet spices/nutmeg.

On the palate, it is fruity, well balanced, rather juicy and quite frank. The aromas found are those of juicy blackberries, crunchy blackcurrant and a slight spiciness.

The wine has a pleasant aftertaste.

On the nose, our Mâcon reveals aromas of red and black fruits. On the palate, it is balanced between roundness and freshness with both greedy notes and floral touches, notably peony.

A hot year, allowing the grapes to reach excellent maturity, which gave smooth wines, characterized by a dark, intense and deep color. The nose is complex, fruity, floral and fresh. The aromas of fresh figs, blackberries, red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, as well as the noble violet characterize this great vintage. Tasting delighted by the power, richness, volume and density of each sip. Endowed with a very great balance, it is the alliance of power and delicacy, maturity and freshness.

A blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, split equally, with 2% each of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The vines are closely planted and are on average over 25 years old. Showing a classic Médoc character, the grapes for the wine are pressed in an old vertical press and after small, relatively low temperature batch fermentations, the wines are aged in French oak: 20% new. Ripe, complex fruit character with a fleshy palate and integrated oak spice.

A Malbec mixed with 12% Cabernet Franc from Los Chacayes that spent a year in used French barrels. Rich purple in the glass, this is all fresh plum at first, followed by blackberry, herbs and an enticing hint of mint that turns sweet in the mouth. Taut and light-footed, delivering good body, fresh flow and a lengthy finish. Seems to get skinnier as it goes along. A rewarding wine.

This wine uses 100 % Syrah grapes handpicked and aged for 24 months in French oak barrels. Dark cherry colour with aromas of plums, fresh berries and a touch of spice. Ideal with game dishes, stews, grilled meats, cheeses and cured Iberian sheep.

Ripe, dark fruit flavours roll effortlessly across the palate. More blackberry and blood plum with coffee and mocha notes in support. Supple with a deliciously earthy twang to its ripe and finely textured tannins. Fresh acidity, adding mouth-watering brightness to the generous fruit flavours.

A medium to full bodied red with a delicious core of dark fruits wrapped in a satisfyingly earthy package.

Vavasour Chardonnay displays bright aromas of white peach, brioche, and nectarine. The palate is a rich & silky balance of stone fruit, creamy acidity, and a lingering minerality found in all Vavasour white wines. 

Domaine Gayda Figure Libre Cabernet Franc is opaque, perfumed with fragrant black cherry, cassis and spice. Full bodied, intense with countless layers of flavour including blackcurrant, cedar and graphite. Dense fruit on the palate is bound by a structure of fine grained tannins and a lively acidity. This wine shows great depth and character and yet is refined with a long, elegant finish.

Dark ruby, clear and bright in colour. Intense notes of dense yet bright red berry compote fruit sit alongside fainter hints of brambly winter hedgerows and Christmas cake spice. A controlled and smooth passage through the palate with a certain ripe fruit presence. The wine remains light on its feet with a real sense of prettiness to the palate which surprises given the intensity of the nose.

Textbook Pinot Noir; Intense red colour with purple hints and a bouquet of fresh red fruits with a hint of spice and vanilla. Light bodied, with purple hints and a bouquet of fresh red fruits with fine tannins carrying through the finish

Best served with cold meats, grilled and roasted meats, poultry, pasta dishes and mature flavoured cheeses.

A rich and full-bodied Syrah displays aromas of dark plums, sweet cassis melded with hints of orange oil, soy sauce and peppered wild game. The palate displays silk like texture with flavors of baker’s chocolate, blackberry cobbler, salted toffee, and a touch of black olive tapenade.
The wine has a flesh like finish that lingers with beautiful notes of oak and a touch of wet stone.

Goes well with Rib-Eye Steak au Poivre, Leg of Lamb Shawarma, Cider-Maple Pork Chops with Woodland Bitters Compote, Edam or Parmesan.

An intense ruby red color with purple shades, intense notes of red fruits and black fruits, raspberries, strawberries, and black cherries. The palate is velvety, delicate and silky, fruity flavors charm the palate, light tannins bring an elegant structure.

The nose is slightly powerful/rich. It reveals notes of cassis and fresh wild blackberry associated with slightnotes of Cuben pepper, spices, cacao, woody notes as well as a very discreet hint of vanilla (in the background) and undergrowth. 

The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, well-balanced, well-built and offers a beautiful mineral/juicy frame, a slight acidity as well as gourmandise. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, juicy black cherry and slight notes of plum, raspberry associated with a discreet hint of red berries as well as slight hints of spices and toastedoak/sweet spices. Tannins are well-built. Good length.

In fire-fighting parlance, a “tillerman” steers the back of a hook & ladder truck. Our founder, Cecil De Loach, held this position in the San Francisco Fire Department. The Tillerman red blend exhibits a deep purple, with notes of ripe wild berries, black cherry, and baking spices on the nose. Layered flavors of black currant and raspberry lead to a long finish of spice and dusty cocoa.

Obtained from hand-picked Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. This wine, aged for 12 months in barriques, presents an intense ruby red colour with violet hues. Broad and complex nose, fruity with small fruits of the forest and hints of vanilla, tobacco and liquorice. Full and elegant to the palette with spicy notes and pure breed tannins that offer a long and winning finish.

Chemin de Moscou Rouge is deep purple, almost opaque in colour with an expressive nose of black fruits, pepper, cinnamon, spice and violets. A seductive palate of dark hedgerow fruits, very open and welcoming with an explosion of fruit and spice. Mineral undertones.

This is a big wine, with an intense red color and brick hues. It has an excellent combination of aromas from its ageing and the grape varietals. It has an excellent structure and complexity with a long finish.
