- Dry style
- Gooseberry & passionfruit
- Blackcurrant leaf
- Long, lingering finish
Fresh aromas of gooseberry, blackcurrant leaf and tropical fruits and an intensely flavoured palate with layers of fresh gooseberry, passionfruit and mineral notes. This fresh, crisp and weighty Sauvignon Blanc has a long and lingering finish.
The fruit was sourced from a selection of vineyards across Marlborough's fertile Wairau Valley area, including the iconic Dillons Point region. Each vineyard's yield was carefully managed and fruit monitored throughout the growing season. The grapes were harvested upon reaching the desired flavour spectrum and maturity.
2020 was a fantastic vintage, with a small crop of intensely flavoured grapes. The grapes were machine harvested and transported promptly to the winery to be lightly pressed. The juice was lightly settled, then cool fermented with selected yeasts in stainless steel tanks in order to retain the vibrant fresh flavours and intense aromatics. Winemaker Heather carefully selected her preferred blend prior to final bottling.
