Aged 12 months in oak barrels, this wine becomes soft and by reducing the aging the fruity primary aromas take on greater prominence. The result of the reduced tannin infusion is a smoother, easier-to-drink Rioja wine. Although Rioja Santiago is fully suitable for long ageing, it is already in optimum conditions for consumption.
Harvested from vines with an average age of 20 years and rooted in mainly clay-calcareous soils with good exposure. Tempranillo grape variety contributes to obtain this soft and fruity wine of ruby color.
